CORNER STORE CAFE PORT HARCOURT

The corner store cafe is a coffee shop and bistro situated in 14 Tombia Street, GRA 2, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. One of the bubbly parts of Port Harcourt. Unlike most cafes or coffee shops, the corner store had a minimalist decor to it which gave the place a clean look. This spot is a great place for coffee lovers as there are varieties to choose from, people who love pastries or sweet stuff will enjoy this place.

As you step into the corner store cafe, you are welcomed by the sweet aroma of coffee in the air, beautiful decor, and some artworks hanging in beautifully selected spots. The corner store cafe sitting arrangement is arranged in a table for twos or fours, or a group of people.

The menu offers a variety of sweet and flavorful foods, specially designed for both youngsters and adults. Even though we later discovered the service wasn’t as pleasing as the ambiance.

We had the crispy chicken burger, chicken wrap, pancakes, Oreo milkshake, and a vanilla milkshake.

Crispy Chicken Burger -N4,000

This burger looked so stressful to eat. Don’t know if it’s how everything was packed into it, it just was a struggle. Why was there scanty coleslaw and veggies inside the burger? ??‍♀️

Chicken Wrap -N1,500

While this was a very tasty dish, I was quite disappointed at the size. It looked like one chicken wrap was shared into 4 parts then 2/4 was served.

Pancakes -N2,500

The pancakes wouldn’t have been faulted if it wasn’t just plain, had no sprinkles or fruit just the syrup. Was very delicious though, fluffy and I tasted a little vanilla flavor in it. Loved this one.

Oreo Milkshake -N2,500

THIS WAS NOT AN OREO MILKSHAKE. I was so disappointed when this came. I was served a lotus milkshake like it was Oreo Milkshake. No explanations no apologies, oh and the milkshake came in halfway into our meal. We had to remind them of it.

Vanilla Milkshake -N2,500

I love milkshakes, so if it’s not gotten right I’m left disappointed. This was more whipped cream than a milkshake, the same as the “Oreo”.

Service – Poor

The service here was just so poor. We sat for at least 15-20 minutes before someone came to attend to us, then we waited over an hour and 20 minutes before our food got served. Then waited forever before the bill too came. And NO, the place wasn’t busy when we arrived. Just 4 persons were eating when we got in. I don’t understand why it took forever to get anything.
