A NIGHT OF SOLO DINING AT THE PAVILION
I love a restaurant with good aesthetics and a mouth watering menu. So, when I got invited by Pavilion restaurant to try out anything on the menu I just had to say yes! And I kid you not, it was a night of pure bliss! It was an amazing evening of solo dining and calm music, strong cocktail, yummy foods, sweet cocktail and crunchy potato chips. I started out with the crispy potato chips and screwdriver cocktail. I wonder what made me choose screwdriver cos that drink was strong as STRONG đ. Then I had the jambalaya for my main course, and if you ever decide to dine at the pavilion…

FOOD TASTING || SHABU SHABU AT MISO JAPANESE AND THAI RESTAURANT
A few Sundayâs back, I and some of your favorite Abuja food bloggers were invited to Miso Japanese and Thai Restaurant to try out their Shabu Shabu menu. It was an amazing evening eating, drinking Heineken courtesy of Heineken Ng and chatting with some of my faves and our amazing host Calabarboyfoodie and some others. Description according to Wikipedia || Shabu-shabu is a Japanese nabemono hotpot dish of thinly sliced meat and vegetables boiled in water and served with dipping sauces. The term is onomatopoeic, derived from the sound emitted when the ingredients are stirred in the cooking pot. The food is cooked piece by piece by the diner at…

JERK CHICKEN AT LAGOS BISTRO
This post is two weeks late and Iâm terribly sorry for the delay. Iâve had a lot happening at the same time and for a minute I didnât get the time to post. My apologies! Now to Lagos Bistro! When I first heard the name, I thought they were in Lagos (an obvious mistake đ) but by the time I checked their IG I discovered they actually are in Abuja! For someone that moved from Lagos to Abuja, I was totally curious to know if they got at least 80% of the Lagos vibes. Stay with me on this…. I literally walked into Lagos no jokes. From the âekoâ song…

A LAZY SATURDAY MORNING AT AKARA CAFĂ
I met the beautiful Martha of Akara CafĂ© at the Sri Lanka festival in Miso Japanese and Thai Restaurant, you can read about it here . Sheâs a sweet soul. If you grew up in a typical Nigerian home and you experienced the normal Saturday breakfast then youâll definitely fall in love with akara cafe cause it will take you down memory lane. The mini combo|| N1,500 Balls of akara Sausages Pap/millet/oats French toasts/ pancakes Spicy sauce. For that price? I promise you, youâll be totally satisfied and every bite is worth every penny! Luckily, my meal was on the house đ. The akara was properly fried, not oily at all. The…

SRI LANKA FESTIVAL AT MISO JAPANESE AND THAI RESTAURANT (PHOTOS)
It all started from an instagram post to one of the most magical nights of my food adventures! There was every kind of food you can imagine and ones you canât even begin to imagine their existence. Miso Japanese and Thai restaurant Abuja launched their Sri Lanka menu on the 4th of October and I was honored to be among the selected few that got to taste the lovely dishes before they introduced it to the public. This veggie soup was âcurryishâ and for some strange reasons, it sat pretty well in my belly. Whatâs a bowl of soup without bread?! This post is going to be a pictorial post,…

RESTAURANT REVIEW || GOING ASIAN AT POW RESTAURANT
You know how lazy Sundayâs can be right? This particular Sunday was no exception. I was laying in bed going through Instagram trying to learn a thing or two from my fave content creators when I got the call; “Dress up weâre taking you to dinner” and just like that, the very long ass lazy Sunday switched up for the best. Pow restaurant is an Asian cuisine restaurant. I like the way the played with the names of foods on their menu, my favorite part of the menu was definitely the noodles section and the mocktails section. The names sounded so classy lol I didnât even know what to order.…

RESTAURANT REVIEW || BATURE BREWERY & MANILA RESTAURANT
It was a rainy Saturday and the initial plan was to go to tuck shop for burgers and hotdogs. Unfortunately, when we got there it was crowded with people, plus the rain and all I immediately lost my appetite for burgers and hotdogs. So, Peace suggested we go to Bature brewery and we could order food from the restaurants nearby. That we did! Bature is a beer place, so you wonât be seeing any foods on their menu. But you get the option of having nearby restaurant menus to try if youâre hungry. The interesting thing about Bature is you get to try out the different types of beer they…

RESTAURANT REVIEW || THE PIER RESTAURANT AND LOUNGE
A few days ago I put up on my Instagram that I needed any restaurant recommendation, and someone suggested the pier restaurant and lounge. I recently moved to Abuja for work, and I’m still finding my way around so every now and then I’ll be putting up posts on my Instagram for recommendations till I finally know my way around. A few days before I visited the piers restaurant and lounge, I wrote them to let them know I was coming and they replied, letting me know they were excited to have me.So, on Sunday I and my ‘gang’ got dressed and went straight to the pier. Walking in from…

A STOP AT SMOOTHIE EXPRESS MINIBAR
Last week at work, I was craving smoothies; not one made by me. So I decided to google smoothie places in Victoria island Lagos and a list of places popped up, but the smoothie express caught my eyes and I don’t know why. So I decided to check their website and I was sold out immediately! I think it’s the way the used fruits to spell their name… Disclaimer : This isn’t a paid review. I quickly told them on IG that I’d be coming the next day (gal is a foodie đ), unfortunately I had a lot of work so I pushed it to 2 days later. After work on…
